One-on-One WordPress Training
1. Client WordPress Training
Scenario: You have a completed/almost-completed WordPress website and need help updating it.
Requirements: All you need in our training session is your WordPress admin login details.
This WordPress training course will cover:
- Updating WordPress pages – text, headings, links etc. and a basic understanding of the WordPress Visual Editor
- Updating your WordPress blog, creating excerpts (short intro’s for your posts) and adding basic widgets to your sidebar
- Adding/deleting pages and posts, adding photo’s and other media
This training session will take roughly two hours.
All WordPress websites differ slightly. This is a basic outline of what we can offer but some WordPress themes may limit some functionality, like updating the menu for example.
2. Designer/Developer Training
Scenario: You are a web designer/developer who wants to learn how to install and create WordPress websites.
Requirements: Good knowledge of HTML and CSS as well as FTP and how to upload files.
This WordPress training course will cover:
- Installation of WordPress: Manual and cPanel
- Creation of databases through phpMyAdmin
- WordPress themes and plug-in training, as well as how to edit the core/CSS files
- How to create and work on a WordPress website behind an existing website (avoids you having to move the WordPress website upon completion)
- Overview of some common plugins and how to use them
This training session will take roughly two hours.
Casson Media can use their own domain and hosting for the installation, but it would be preferable if you had your own domain to refer to later for reference. You will need FTP details, phpMyAdmin details as well as the correct type of permissions and hosting. You may contact us beforehand should you need help with these.
Location/Expenses
Casson Media is based in Johannesburg but can do WordPress training anywhere in South Africa. The trainee will need to pay for all the trainers flights, accommodation and expenses.
